Eagles Class enjoyed our trip to the Lighthouse Theatre to watch the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra perform their 'Secrets and Codes' show. It was an interactive concert and we loved joining in by singing and playing body percussion. What a great opportunity to listen to live music!
This week we are promoting an active lifestyle and the importance of regular exercise, as we promote 'Walk to School Week 2017'. Watch out for us as we try to go for a walk each day and enjoy the glorious weather ... long may it continue! Today, we enjoyed a stroll down Spring Street after our picnic lunch on the field.
Children in Eagles Class have been set a project challenge to hand in after the May half term break. They had to complete a piece of work under the title of 'Mosaics'. We discussed a number of ideas together but the rest was left to their imagination and creativity! It was a lovely surprise this morning to receive one Home Learning project a little early. A wonderful cake decorated with a mosaic and roman numerals! We are looking forward to seeing all the other projects i
Reverend Carol led our collective worship today and explained the meaning behind Holy Communion to us all. Some Year 5 children helped to act out parts of the last supper, and we talked about the significance of the bread and the wine. Pine Martens class are also looking forward to an upcoming RE lesson where they will continue to reflect on Holy Communion.
Our year 6 SATs pupils enjoying a breakfast of bacon sandwiches and cereal before undertaking their exams which they have all worked very hard to prepare for. A fab start to the day to ensure they were all feeling positive and taking giant footsteps in their lifelong learning journey.
We are very excited in Eagles as today every child is bringing home their own ukulele! We have been given the instruments by Dorset Music Service to borrow for this term. Each week we will be having a ukulele lesson from Mr Holly ... and will star in our own performance at the end of the year!
