Mrs Griffiths thought the wind had set the school alarm off at the weekend but look what we caught in our trap ! On Friday, in response to finding blobs of jam in the classroom, a red cape and after receiving a letter from Grandma , we decided to write missing posters - Grandma`s granddaughter was missing. Then we built a trap and see who we caught 1 The lego was to hurt his paws and the sticky Sellotape to trap him. The Big Bad Wolf has been caught !
On Tuesday Chestnut Class walked to Holy Rood Church to lay a poppy wreath at the war memorial in memory and respect for all the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in conflict. As we are learning about World War 2 it was a great link to help the children see how we continue to remember those who have died not just in the First and Second World Wars, but more recent wars too. It provoked some interesting discussion and the children were well-behaved and respectful.
