The children are introduced to a modern foreign language as they enter year 3 and they will continue to learn French throughout the time they are in key stage 2.  Our scheme of work provides pupils with video and audio examples of speaking in french and they are able to engage in interactive games to help them embed their grasp of vocabulary.
