Our Animal Friends

Murphy - School Welfare Dog

Murphy is a labrador and pointer cross breed and he is owned by Mrs Griffiths and her family. Murphy comes into school to visit every now and then.  He interacts with the children in a number of ways, for example, he listens to children read and spends some 1:1 time with pupils to support them pastorally.

Who's – who

Skittles and Marbles stay with Mrs Collington and her family most of the time but they regularly come in and visit the children.  Sometimes children are given some time to interact with the guinea pigs as part of a pastoral intervention but they also love to get involved in the care of these pets.  The guinea pigs enjoy being cuddled, stroked and looked after by our pupils ... they also enjoy the odd snack!
