Who is a Young Carer?
A Young Carer is someone under 18 who helps care for a family member with illness, disability, mental health
issues, or substance misuse.

Support at Wool CE Primary School
We identify and support Young Carers so they can enjoy school and reach their potential. Pupils can speak to
Miss Hardy or Mrs Collins for help.

Young Carers Lunch Club
Held every half term, this club offers a space for Young Carers to share experiences, support each other, and
enjoy lunch together.

Referral and Partnerships
We work with Dorset Young Carers Service and other agencies. Referrals are made with consent and shared
only on a need-to-know basis.
