Wool CE Primary is a highly inclusive school and we achieved IQM (Inclusion Quality Mark) in July 2026. All members of staff and governors are committed to meeting the pastoral, social and academic needs of all pupils in our school, to ensure every child achieves their full potential.

The Pupil Premium is a grant given to schools to enable them to fully meet the needs of children who are considered disadvantaged'. 

Schools have a duty to report how they use Pupil Premium allocation each year. The Pupil premium strategy 2025-2026 document below give details of how we intend to spend this money.

Pupil Premium from Sept 2026

From the start of the 2026 to 2027 academic year, the Department for Education (DfE) has split Free School Meals (FSM) into Targeted FSM and Expanded FSM, with Pupil Premium (PP) funding attached only to the targeted group.

• Targeted FSM: Continues under the existing threshold of household earnings up to £7,400 via Universal Credit or other qualifying benefits. These pupils qualify for free meals and will generate additional PP funding which will enable the family to access free uniform, reductions in some trip costs and further benefits.  

• Expanded FSM: Covers pupils from households receiving Universal Credit who earn above the £7,400 threshold. These pupils receive a free daily meal only and do not attract Pupil Premium funding
