The school currently follows the Charanga scheme of work in order to deliver our curriculum.  We also subscribe to Sing Up which enables our children to access a vast selection of songs from a variety of genres.  Children engage in a number of different musical opportunities from exploring notation to rehearsing and performing.  They learn composition skills and develop their understanding of both tuned and untuned percussion instruments.

We also work closely with the Dorset Music Hub.  Whilst in lower key stage 2, the children learn an instrument as a whole class and we provide opportunities for parents/carers to pay for children to have peripatetic instrumental lessons.
