Oak Class - Week 2
What a week ! Steve the squirrel lost his acorns and we had to go searching for them.....using our feet ! We found his acorns in leaf litter, under stones , in soil, under water...Steve must have been storing his nuts ready for the winter.
We have been counting using autumnal objects and we have had our second forest-school morning. We collected all sorts to make paper-plate faces. We also dug up some onions and potatoes.
The change in the children regarding their independence, knowing expectations and getting used to sharing resources within the classroom has been noticed not just by myself but other members of staff as well. Be proud of them.
This weekend please take your child on an autumnal walk looking for leaves, seeds, pine cones, conkers and anything else that lets us know autumn is here.
