Religious Education (RE)
All children in our school are taught a weekly RE lesson. We use both Discovery RE and Understanding Christianity to plan the sessions and ensure teaching and learning reflects aspiration and is high quality. Topics often begin with big questions and children are encouraged to think deeply about their opinions, knowledge and understanding when exploring the concept of faith. The documents below show how our curriculum is based on a spiral model where key concepts are revisited as children progress through the school, but each time there is further challenge as it is explored through a slightly different lens.
